Lusy Filet was born at the intersection of craft tradition and contemporary creativity, where the filet technique becomes both a language and a tool of communication. Working with filet as “textile pixel art” means turning each square, each stitch, each thread into a small pixel of history, culture, and irony, combining traditional craftsmanship, digital aesthetics, and contemporary design. Using photos, software, grids, and meticulous handwork, I create woolen canvases that reinterpret modern and iconic subjects—from pop icons to symbols of desire, from skulls to provocative words. The embroidery tradition meets modern tastes and pop trends, telling stories with curiosity, humor, and social critique.

Filet is not just a technique: it is my language. Every stitch requires method and precision, yet the thread itself introduces inevitable imperfections—twists, elasticity, random knots. This tension between technical perfection and imperfect result becomes a metaphor for reality: life is structured, but never entirely predictable. Perfect in concept, imperfect in execution, authentic in outcome.

Each Lusy Filet work arises from the encounter between technique, concept, and thread. Through the contrast of innocence and transgression, delicacy and irreverence, tradition and contemporaneity, I convey messages, make people reflect, joke, and surprise. My goal is not to decorate: it is to tell, provoke, and turn embroidery into a message, letting threads and textile pixels speak for themselves.

Pixel Textile Art in Filet

A small masterpiece of artisanal precision: the filet technique creates unique patterns and gentle undulations that make each piece one of a kind.

The felt backing is ready to hang and can be removed; simply cut the thread to easily change the way it is displayed.

The cardboard backing is purely functional, not intended for display; simply cut the thread to remove it or adjust the piece as needed.

No washing required—just admiration. The colors shown in the images may vary slightly from the actual ones.
